My thoughts on website testimonials: many companies have genuine legitimate testimonials posted on their website, however, they are easy to make up. To verify the legitimacy of the company's testimonials, check and see if the company has a Facebook page or LinkedIn page.  It's tough to make up those testimonials. If the majority of those check out good - I would say that the business' website is probably accurate.
