1) Reputation. According to the Better Business Bureau, 1-on-1-Resumes.com and ResumesGuaranteed.com are sister companies. No writer I spoke to had ever worked with either website.
Additionally, the pricing is way low based on industry standard. I'm all for getting a deal, but if at prices that low how can they afford to pay professional writers?
The BBB says, they've even stopped responding to complaints. I would feel better about testing them out if they became BBB members and resolved their issues.
2) Age. I honestly don't think 1-on-1-Resumes.com has changed their website since their founding in 2003...
3) Products. The products are few. They do straight up resumes. No differentiation between stages in career - everyone pays the same.*
*The fine print says that Federal KSAs and Scientific/Medial CVs cost more. I would like to see them clarify the pricing scheme on their website.

Also, one thing that I learned in this process is that in order to have a Federal resume done, you have to have the exact job listing in hand in order for them to proceed.
4) Price. As discussed above, I feel as though their pricing is suspiciously low and to pay a professional writer I would expect to pay more. Also, their guarantee policy is pretty agressive - 1-on-1-Resumes.com claims that you will have an interview within 30 days or they'll re-write your resume for free.
5) Industry Affiliations. 1-on-1-Resumes.com is affiliated with the National Resume Writers Association.
